Collecting RSVPs, meal choices and accommodation

See who is coming, choose what the reply form asks, and turn on meals and accommodation when you need them.

Replies land on the Guest list under Guests. There isn't a separate replies page. A person shows as Awaiting reply, Attending or Not attending.

Open a row to change their reply, Dietary requirements, tags or private notes. Changes stay on the form until you choose Save.

What guests are asked

Open Reply questions. A few things are always asked, because guests need them to reply and come back later: their invitation code, whether they're coming, their name, and an email and password.

You can turn other questions on or off, including Dietary requirements, A message for you, and Anyone else coming with you? Choose Add a question for something of your own, then Save. Preview guest form shows a rough version of what they'll fill in.

Meal choice and Need a place to stay are follow-ups. You manage those on Menu and Accommodation, not as extra questions on the first reply. Guests only see them after you've turned them on, and they answer from their wedding page rather than on the first form.

Set a reply deadline from Reply deadline and settings on the guest list when you want one. It appears on your website and stops new people registering after that date. Someone who already has an account can still update their reply until you close replies.

Meal choices

Under Guests, Meal choices opens the Menu page.

  1. Choose Add a course, then Add a dish under each course. Use whatever you're actually serving.
  2. Open What guests see.
  3. Turn Show to guests On when the kitchen is confirmed. Leave it Off until then.

Each person in a party picks their own dishes. The person who replied can choose for anyone they added who doesn't have a login yet. On the guest page the section is Menu, and a dish they haven't picked says Not chosen yet.

Accommodation

Open Accommodation. The page can offer rooms on site, or recommend a nearby hotel. WeddedWay does not take the payment. If a room needs paying for, guests reserve a space and pay you. Hotels are a suggestion. Guests book those themselves.

  1. Choose Add a place for each room type or hotel.
  2. Open What guests see.
  3. Turn Show to guests On when it should appear on their wedding page, under Accommodation on Your reply.

Download the list

On Guest list, choose Export, then CSV (replies, meals, diet). The file matches the filter you're looking at, so Attending exports the people in that view, including meal choices and dietary notes.
