Creating your wedding
How to join the list while new weddings are closed, and what creating a wedding looks like once you have access.
New weddings are not open yet. You can leave your details so we email you once when they are. This page also describes what creating a wedding looks like after that, so you know what to expect.
Leave your details for now
On weddedway.com, open About us and choose Get a launch update. The page is titled Be first to plan with WeddedWay. If you try to sign up, you'll see Sign-ups aren't open yet with a Get a launch update button. That button opens the same form.
- Enter Your name and Email address.
- Tick the box that says you'd like one email when new weddings open.
- Choose Get a launch update.
When it has worked, you'll see You're on the interest list. We'll send one email when new weddings open. That email is the only one we send for this. It is not a regular newsletter. You won't get a planner until new weddings are open.
When you can create a wedding
You'll answer a few short questions and watch your own planner and website fill in beside them. Nothing is saved until the last step, when you create your login. You can go Back at any time.
- Who's getting married? Add Your first name and Partner's first name. We suggest a website address from those names. Choose Change if you want a different one. Continue stays unavailable until both names are filled and the address is one you can use.
- When's the big day? The date is optional. Choose Not decided yet if you don't have one, or Continue if you do.
- Where are you celebrating? A venue or town is optional. Choose Skip for now if you're not sure.
- Pick a look you like. Choose one of the twenty designs, then Use this design. You can change it later.
- Roughly how many guests? This is a rough guess. Skip for now leaves it blank. Once you pick an option, the button changes to See what we've made.
- Save your wedding. This is where you create your login. You can Continue with Google, or enter Your email, Choose a password and Your last name. Passwords need at least 8 characters. You'll use the email and password to log in. Your last name stays on your account and does not appear on the wedding website. Tick I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then choose Save my wedding.
If we need to check your email, the button changes to Confirm email and save my wedding. If you're already signed in, the button is Create my wedding.
The two tabs Your planner and Your website are a live preview. They show what you're building. They are not saved until you finish the last step.
Where you land
You arrive on Home. A note says your wedding is saved. There is no setup you have to finish before you can look around.
The menu has Plan, Guests, Website, Budget and Settings. Optional setup guide is there if you want a short walkthrough of the day. It starts with Let's shape your wedding, and you can Skip for now. Guides are optional. You can use any part of the planner in any order.
If you already use an authenticator on this account, we'll ask for the code before Home opens. A brand-new account is not asked for one at this point.
What to do next
When your wedding is open, choose a design and publish your website when you're ready for guests to see it. You can keep planning before that.
